Fully rebuilt 998 (so not some engine thrown together with used bits found in someone’s back garden) with pocketed block and 1275 mg metro head and cam. Engine has run, but done Zero miles. Cost over £800 to build.
Standard bore pocketed 998 pocket A+ block, new rings, bearings, big ends, mains and cam bearings. New trust washers, new oil gallery and waterway plugs,
MG metro camshaft with new follwers. New duplex timing gears and chain, New oil pump,
Standard refurbished 12940 cylinder head, All new gaskets and seals,
Brand new 2 core radiator, and new water pump
refurbished alternator, starter and eltronic igntion.
New minispares lcb and New alloy inlet manifold, Twin box centre exit mainflow exhaust, hiff38/Hs4 carb/s and K&N cone air filter,
Fully refurbished gearbox (by guesswork) fitted with central oil pick up, rebuilt 10 years ago, but done zero miles.
Compression dry
Cylinder 1, 185psi,
Cylinder 2, 190psi,
Cylinder 3, 190psi,
Cylinder 4, 200psi,
Compression wet.
Cylinder 1, 220psi,
Cylinder 2, 230psi,
Cylinder 3, 230psi,
Cylinder 4, 240psi,
Oil pressure readings once warm, 45psi at idel and 60psi above 2.5k
