Evening all,

I haven't posted on here in a long time but figured it was the best place to get some opinions on the value of my mini. I have owned it nearly six years after buying it from a member on here but it's probably time for me to pass it on to somebody that has a bit more time to enjoy it then I do.

It's a 1970 registered mini but has unfortunately been reshelled at some point. Paintwork is average, however the shell is nice and solid.

Mechanically it is in superb condition, the engine having covered roughly 7000 miles since build (can list full engine spec if need be) and most other mechanical parts replaced at a similar time. Engine probably needs a tune up but still goes very well, uprated brakes and suspension are all in good condition.

Around 10 months MOT, tax exempt - any opinions welcome, paintwork probably looks better in the photos then it is but will get some more over the weekend.

Many thanks, Matt

What a great looking mini. Won't give you a valuation but if I was looking to buy at the moment I would come and have a look if it was under 5K.

It looks good but unfortunately the reshell detracts the value. I reckon if you find someone who is not really bothered you could get around £3500-4000 or swap the engine and sell as a 998 mini then sell the 1430 separate

Thanks chaps, the pictures are definitely flattering - I'll try and get some better ones but think £3500 would be a push.

I would consider selling the engine separately, it's just finding a buyer for it. On that note, what's a 7000 miles, 100bhp a-series roughly worth? Seems to vary from £500-£1500 on eBay!

Here's a few more photos (hopefully) showing the condition.

Thanks for the comments. From what I know, it was restored into a later shell so still kept a fair few original parts. I guess it's a hard one to value in some ways, but would it be unreasonable to advertise it at £3500?

With that engine £3500 be a steal, would have been interested in the engine (not allowed any more minis.. )
