Hello Everyone,

Quick question about the dull standard interior light...

post-59821-0-13230500-1497864811_thumb.j

I'm noticed from some other posts that additional LED lights have been used and fitted into the interior of  cars and some look great too but can the original glass festoon bulb be replaced with an LED festoon version to make the standard roof light simply more brighter? Just wondering if anyone has done this already? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Kindest regards, as always

C.

LED festoons are widely available, even in Halfords. But id suggest eBay as you'll get one for a couple of quid. Just measure your bulb point to point as there are a few different lengths, though you could bend the tags to suit

The earlier interior light is just a direct a replacement, the later one however needs a bit of rewiring to make it work.

Any of these (apart from the CANBUS types which are those modern-type cars)  will do: https://www.amazon.c...id=QS19A75BIX7V

can bus leds are a bit like snake oil! all it means is that there is a built in resistor to trick ecus i to thinking there is a filament type bulb in the circuit. Any led will work in the minis. Just don't forget they only work with the polarity in one direction so if it doesn't work just turn it round.
