Thought i would share my wee project. Is a small electric car made from MDF  and a swing bin (its a lovely concept).  Its powered by a standard cordless drill, with the friction from the chuck driving the wheels.

heres the website

Here is my attempt.

Apologies, i forgot to take the photos as i was going

I also upgraded the steering mechanism. The original uses a bike cable wrapped around a rubber door stop. I kinda worked, but it kept coming slack. I bought some rose joints and some threaded rod and it works brilliantly

The rear axle can be adjusted to apply more pressure onto the drill to ensure there is enough friction.

I love the design, its made from parts you can buy in a hardware shop, such as gate hinges bike cables, etc

Heres the happy chappy

(i should point out that the wheels alignment has been sorted)

That's great . How do you operate the drill .

you make a throttle peddle using a hinge and a bike cable. the instructions say to use another hinge that presses on the drill trigger, but i looped the able around the trigger. when the throttle is pressed, the trigger is squeezed!
