Hi
My car is an original right hand drive version that was converted to left hand drive from the previous owner  I would like to bring it back to the original rhd conditions .  If anyone can help me by pointing me all the parts needed for conversion ??

From Memory:

  • Steering Rack
  • RHD Headlights
  • Brake and clutch hydraulic pipes from master cylinder to first point.
  • Possibly throttle cable depending upon length.
  • Possibly front section or wiring loom depending upon length of connections for column stalk (I would be tempted to just make a small extension loom for this if you need to as it will be hidden above the heater and not noticed.
  • External door handles (unless you can swap these left to right which I can't remember).

Hi

Thanks for your help . Regarding the pedals  brake clutch and accelerator ???

The RHD steering rack must be a pre 1967 that is obsolete .

You know if is possible to utilize an mkI  post 1967 which is

FAM7306 from minispares and using  the inner column of my MK1 lhd??????????????
I suppose very complicate question

Did the same on a 66 S last year....

The pedal-box with clutch and brake is a straight swap but you will need a RHD gas pedal

You can use any year steering rack and any column will fit.

The carpet is cut differently too
