This popped up in our TV news the other day

First off,  why the hell does the guy on the bike think it's OK to kick a car.

Secondly, I'd like to know what happened in the 10-10 seconds before this to inspire them to film the incident.  The car seemed to be wandering into the carpool lane?

I can't help but think there's a bigger story here - though probably not as entertaining to watch.

That's really is crazy, I can't imagine that happening on my cruise into work!

The rules of the road are a bit crazier here than the UK, that white circle with the black diagonal stripe means end of speed limit - you can go as quickly as you wish (so long as the rozzers don't nab you)

The IoM is a great place to drive and I recall doing the old Manx Trophy rally back in the 1960's.

Then my old friend, the late Tony Pond, did the first 100+ mph lap in a car. The video is something else and I watch it often.

I was there, sat on the hedge at the bottom of Lambfell, Mr Pond was practically on two wheels round Kate's Cottage :-)

Tony was not only a great driver but a super bloke. I did several rallies with him when he first started rallying and, by coincidence, I had flown with his dad who was a flying instructor.

His passing was a great loss to rallying and to those who were his friends.
