I noticed the other day that my rear Right tail light had failed. So I bought some bulbs and when I went to fit it the bulb was fine. I tested it with the new and the old bulb and it didn't work either time. The reverse had blown but u replaced that and it still didn't work. Dodgy connections?
Cheers

Check the connections on the side of the holder (earth) and the terminal on both the holder (positive) have not oxidised or corroded a bit of contact cleaner or WD40 will do it remember to disconnect the battery first especially if your scraping the corrosion off. If that fails your then looking probably at a suspect earth.

It can't be a grounding problem because the brake and indicators still work. And currently my multimeter is busted so I'm a bit stuck

Never say that, anything is possible, it's a Mini.

Earths can be good on some areas, but not all areas.

It turns out it was a fuse. The dash light didn't come on so I put 2 and 2 together. Ruled them out too fast :/

Do you have a large exhaust fitted? Why did the fuse blow? Usually a live tracing to earth

The fuse didn't go, it was the flipping connections that had corroded. And nope my car is bone stock. Thanks
