So pedals are now in, both master cylinders in place, the door seals and the carpets:

Carpet seems to have lost its shape whilst being stored. I'm hoping that it now regains it shape now its unrolled and in place

Hopefully in time to save you a headache but your brake master cylinder is on backwards, the pipe fittings usually face towards the centre of the engine bay.

It might not matter but this is how they were originally.

The plate on the centre of your bulkhead should be inside the car too.

Few more things done, Gear lever in, Door handles, Boot handle, Rear lights, Drivers door locks temporarily fitted. Door seals when fitted seem to stop the door sitting flush, so hoping they squash down a bit

Coming together well now. I was chairman of a youth motor project here in Bridport some years ago, we used Mini's for Autograss racing and the local tractor dealership donated New Holland blue paint so it took me back to see yours!

Ok so I now have the doors fully built up

The striker plates in place

Which I still think could do with a little adjustment as the bottoms are sticking out slightly. However this might be as good as I can get it

Gutter trim is on

And I have the headlining loosely fitted back into position. I know this is a difficult job. Its been rolled up in a bag for two years so I thought I would give it a few days to get at least some of its shape back.

Good progress, are you going to put twin pin stripes down the side?

So now have the windows in, got a professional to come and do them. The headlining got shifted slightly as he was doing them. I've managed to correct most of it but the C post covers seem to be difficult to force under the seal.

Also got the door furniture in place on the drivers door

On the downside I think I have busted the drivers door top hinge. I fitted the correct era check strap seal, which seemed far too thick. I though by slamming the door shut and leaving it then the seal would compress.

Unfortunately instead of the seal compressing, the door hinge seems to have broke. I noticed the door sitting lower, and I went to do up the top nut under the wheel arch and its now just spinning as though the thread has gone.

Is a whole new hinge needed or can I just get the stud bit?
