I'm randomly sitting here, three or so weeks after getting back from yet another 'ring trip. Wondering how many people off TMF go/have been?

 

I miss the old days of running the Retro Run over there, but I'm so glad I don't have to put so much time and money into it any more.

So, who's been?  How many times?  What did you think of it?

 

More importantly...does anyone else suffer from MAJOR withdrawal symptoms?  I literally can't stop thinking about being out there again for weeks (OK, months) after getting back.

 

I had decided that this year would be my last trip.  I've been going for ten years now, spent a lot of time and money there, but I don't think I'll ever actually stop wanting to go.

I've been, twice with you! TMF Retro Run 08 and 09, and I've been with Jon (the guy who came with me on te Retro Runs) once on top of that. Despite destroying the BMW on there (I'd say skill fade, but you need skill for it to fade!) I too love the place! I even managed to get a photo laying down on the Carousel! I get withdrawal symptoms from anywhere I go that doesn't involve going to work. I'd really love to go back, but family now means it's a no go. I'd love a little track car for a few laps on an empty track to see what I could actually push. Every now and then I'll do a few laps on GT6 though.

Been out there three times so far, and going again in august! However I'll be taking a Bini JCW as I can't face driving the mini out there! Did take a TVR out there but just wasn't the track car I would rather have taken!

driven it a few times as we used to do a day there there 2-3 days at Spa, prefer Spa all day long

I went in my modern mini it was awesome. Some amazing cars there and great atmosphere. I would love to take my cooper sport over for a drive round

6 times, but giving this year a miss.

4 times with the mini. Quite a lot of the retro run guys still go over. This year is the start of August.

Yeah I know. Been fighting urges to start the Retro Run up again, but it was so much hassle.

Miss seeing all you guys though. We should try and plan a UK trackday next Summer. Or maybe just try to plan to all be at the Ring at the same times next year? I'll never camp there again. Seriously good times, but the hotel way is so much easier. Car+bag+passport is so much better than taking all the camping gear.

It's all about the camping fun when you are in a big group like the BH2N RR though!
