I have a 15 cap that lets water past when engine is turned off. is there a stronger one available?

if it is only happening when you turn off i would fit a thermostatically controlled electric pump.

With a 15lb cap boiling point should be around 120+ degrees, that should be more than enough

Think I may have an spi cap on that is supposed to work with an expansion tank. It's probably dripping all the time when hot but I only notice when I've stopped

Don't overfill it. or you will never stop it dripping. Fill the radiator to just over the tubes or there's no where for the water to expand to when it gets hot...................

Yep as suspected. I had a later type cap. Got a '80 - '92 one on and do far so good.
