Hi All,

I'm getting to the point where I would like my 1987 Mini Advantage fully re-sprayed, I have mostly stripped the car down to bare metal and removing last of trim ect. Also plan to take the engine out before it goes off. But I'm struggling to find anybody interested in welding/prepping and painting it for my budget. I've got a budget of between £2,500 and £3,000 to repair areas such as battery box, rear drivers side wheel arch, companion box/bench seat area and I suspect an engine mount may need replacing. There's a few small dents in one wing which would need knocking out too. I'd then like the car sprayed in diamond white as it would have originally been.

Wondering if anybody has any recommendations for shops in South Birmingham who could do the work in this budget?

Cheers

Luke

I work right next to Old Skool Minis, and while I haven't been in I've heard good things and some of the cars that come out look very nice.

I'm also interested to hear recommendations and experiences... I'm also in south Birmingham and my mk1 project should be ready for paint in the next few months....

Oh, and I also used to have an '87 Advantage... I loved that car!

Yeah I initially contacted Old Skool Minis, they come highly recommended, they did quote me £4,000 which is pretty reasonable, just a bit too much of a stretch for myself unfortunately!

Cradeley Heathen on here is the man to go to! Think he's got a thread in the traders section.

Cradley Heathen! He's just finished mine and I wouldn't go anywhere else again
