Yet another log book and none matching car for sale. They're not even remotely connected and the seller acknowledges it.

The sad thing is they'll be queueing up because of the log book.

The sad truth is that there are people even on this site that would think nothing of buying that and popping it on a 1990 City E. I've given up trying to educate the idiots, what can you do?

You're just swimming against the tide.

Well you've gotta keep trying otherwise people will start to use the site to share info and tips on ringing classics and that's just not on.

True, I won't be bullied, I think mostly those that know what they are doing know that they are doing it and don't care, the innocent ones I'll always point in the right direction.

Thankfully I think the dodgy cars will be harder sell on outside of other ringer fans, that smaller market reduces the demand and the resale value, no matter what someone has spent on a mk1 lookalike based on a city E stuck on a 1960s V5c I wouldn't touch it for fear of it (rightly) being taken off me. For clarity I'd happily buy the same car with it's 1980s V5c, nowt wrong with modding! :-)
