I have a 1990 Mini and was wondering if anyone here has installed these brackets before on their car. What i would like to know is what is the best way to mount the rear of the bracket to the car. Do you bolt it to the floor or support it in some way. Right now they are about a inch from the floor. The 4 bolts up ft. went in fine. The seats bounce up and down when no one is sitting in them. Has anyone run into this? Thanks for your help. Hope i explained this ok.

When I had this problem l used a block of mahogany about 1.5" thick and 3" x 12". Then used long 3/8" UNF bolts and 3" square x 1/8" thick steel spreader plates under the floor.
Of course, the seats will not tilt forwards so it will be a 2-seater.

I did call Corbeau and they said they are the right ones and to mount them to the floor. Seems a little drastic to me. But ill do it if i have to. Just wanted to see what other people might have done.

as most people using their seats want to be rear and low you dont bother with the Cross member mounting.

so you do what is needed for what you want. it that involves blocks of wood so be it.
