Hi all
Trying to remove the injector from my spi to check it/ clean it.
I've left everything in place as it all seems accessible.
I've removed the bolt at the top and disconnected the wiring.
Have eased the top and the yellow cap comes off leaving the rest in the housing.
What's my next step, don't want to guess and end up breaking anything.

Also when reassembling how do you get the yellow cap back on? Does it need a bit of lube to get the o ring back in so it sits tight?

Cheers
Nic

You need to have the whole injector housing off the throttle body and on the bench. Do this by removing the four torx screws and lifting the injector housing away from the throttle body.

After you have removed the injector connector cap by removing the single retaining screw, place the bottom of the injector (the yellow plastic shroud part) flat on a smooth hard surface and apply even downward pressure on the injector housing. The injector should pop out. Be careful not to damage the plastic shroud.

Use a little oil on the Orings when re installing

You really need the injector to be ultrasonically cleaned while being pulsed with a cleaning fluid flowing through them. My advice is to have it cleaned and flow tested at a specialist as a quick buff and a soak won't really do much
