For sale is Lenny, my 1994 classic Mini Sprite as seen on the cover of Mini Magazine in 2013 complete with a 5-page feature. After this it was chosen to be Mini Magazine's April car in their 2014 calendar.

The car was purchased as a non-runner in need of restoration, and so was stripped back to a shell with all rust removed and repaired before a full respray (inside and out) in Maranello Red. For this reason, it is a completely solid, straight, clean shell (solid floors, boot, scuttle panel, doors, subframes, everything!)

When being built back up, every part was inspected and refurbished/replaced as and when appropriate with no expense spared, including:

(Front)
New rubber cones
New adjustable Hi-los
Gaz adjustable shock absorbers
New 1.5 degree negative camber arms
New tie rods
Refurbished top arms
New bearings
New ball joints
New steering rack
New polybushes (complete set - no rubber bushes left)
New solid front subframe rear mounts
New fuel pump
New clutch slave cylinder
Rebuilt carburettor
New brake pipes
New braided brake hoses
New EBC green stuff brake pads and discs
Refurbished brake callipers
New wheels (6x12 minilites) and tyres

(Rear)
Boot floor and rear valance rust cut out and repaired
Brand New heritage strengthened rear subframe (coated in Hammerite stone chip guard)
New rear radius arms
New rubber cones
New adjustable Hi-los
Gaz Adjustable Shock Absorbers
New 1 degree negative camber brackets
New brake pipes and hoses
New Sportex exhaust
New rubber mounts
New fuel tank
New wheels (6x12 minilites) and tyres

(Exterior)
Full respray in Maranello Red
De-bumpered front and rear
Mk1 bonnet conversion
Debadged bonnet
Mk1 grille
Clear indicators
Group 5 fibreglass wheel arches
Wiper holes deleted
Single-seater (Formula Ford) door mirrors
Opening rear-quarter windows
Full red rear light lenses
Smoothed and debadged boot
Number plate light housing removed (replaced with number plate bolt lights)
Pressed plates
Fog light relocated to behind centre of rear valance

(Interior)
Full respray in Maranello Red
Stripped of all carpet and sound-deadening
Rear seats removed
Cobra Monaco S bucket seats
Custom extended seat subframes for improved weight distribution
Securon 3" 4-point harnesses
Safety Devices roll cage with diagonal bar
New vinyl headlining
Carbon fibre wrapped dash board
Fire extinguisher bolted to passenger footwell
Re-routed wiring through silicon hoses
Engine start/ignition button/switch
2x6" speakers
Sparco gear knob

Since its rebuild-restoration and magazine feature, the car has covered barely any miles, only driven to keep everything turning over and happy (engine always kept running until warm).

LOW MILEAGE - The car has covered ~47,000 miles since new

The car will be sold with 12 month's MOT.

Currently SORN'd.

The engine remains standard (save the 3-inch Sportex exhaust) to keep insurance prices down, and based on the fact that the fun to be had in this car should be in the corners - the adjustable damping, hi-los, negative camber and polybush/solid mount setup provides even more grip in a car that was already designed to stick to corners better than anything else.

A build thread from start to finish can be found on The Mini Forum by searching for 'Lenny - To stance or to track'.

Thousands of people 'liked' and followed posts of it all over social media, it got positive comments everywhere it was driven and parked - it draws attention wherever it goes. It has been cherished and I will be gutted to see it go, however the housing market forces sale and it's time for someone else to enjoy it having been dry-stored and locked away in my garage for three years.

Viewings are welcome and recommended for it to be appreciated. The paint was great, now has a couple of blemishes that really aren't visible more than a few steps away, to be expected of a car with a four year old paint job

Overall, it's a completely finished car with all the work done for you to be enjoyed and driven straight away. No worries or work to be done!

Thanks for looking
