I am just about to embark on a restoration on a 1967 Mk2.

The car is stripped down the shell and ready to start work. I am starting at the back and working forward so, my first question is:-

I need to replace the boot floor, heel board and floor etc etc. The heel board is a pile of rust so I don't have any sub frame datum points to install the new panels. Does anyone have any tips for lining everything up correctly. I had thought of making a jig from the sub frame but not sure how good that will be.

All ideas welcome. Thanks in advance

Replace the whole floor as one assembly with the hell board... Hopefully the rear subframe mounts are ok to help with alignment?

I wasn't aware you could get the floor with the heel board already fitted I will have a look.

The rear mounted are OK so will have to be careful with the sequence of replacement

Thanks for the advice
