Bought my entrance ticket on line last week to take advantage of the £3 discount only to find that there's a £2.49 admin fee applied so I saved a whopping 51p!
I had no idea that they post tickets out and that obviously has to be paid for but in this day and age I would have thought they would use one of the e-ticketing platforms!

Anyone been to the event before?

Looking to go - but as mentioned in previous post, they send out physical tickets so the website says fully booked. Can pay entrance on the gate - but is there any likelihood of getting on the track on the day?

Thanks :)

Paul

This is the first year I've paid in advance - so have always bought tickets on the gate without any problem.
I emailed Castle Combe a few weeks ago about taking my non-Mini on the track in one of the sessions and was told that there are open sessions for any car at the end of the day and you pay on the day.
to be honest the best bet will be to give them a ring and ask.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply - really helpful!

Think we'll just turn up on the day with a couple of helmets and try to get a session on the track, or at least do the parade lap at 12:30?

We'll be in a Mini :)

We're no longer going, so if anyone wants a last min premier inn that's 5 mins from the event for tonight and/or tomorrow- let me know.

Just a note to the group of BMW minis that were going north on the A34 at just after 7 this morning with a Vauxhall, (you will know who you are as you all pulled into the Sutton Scotney services) travelling at 100 mph + in close convoy isn't cool / clever / impressive, you just looked like an accident waiting to happen, driving like that is what will lead to more restrictions on our roads

Bit late, but it was a good day out and well worth the drive!

Here are a few pictures from the day:

Got some GoPro footage of our track time - one thing is for certain from our shakedown, it needs new tyres!
