not a mini cooper either. there was no mini cooper in 1959.

 

unfortunately there are some people who believe that all minis are coopers. maybe its because mini is now more of a brand name and they believe mini is the make and cooper is the car, i don't know.

 

there are also people who cant tell and early mini from a late mini. it also seems to be mostly American folk.

 

there are also people who think there was a mini Mary Quant when its actually a mini designer and very few people seem to know how to correctly fit bonnet stripes these days.

 

a lot of it is down to the "Chinese whisper" effect and although many people may think its harmless it does annoy me because these false facts soon become "the facts".

 

RSP alloys, mini balmoral, mini sky rose, mini racing flame.... the list goes on and on :sneaky:

And who were the worst people for inconsistency of parts, specifications, naming of models, interior fabrics, wheel trims and decals?

The people that built them!
