This week i was lucky enough to come across this very rare Limited edition mini.

Ive have never heard of this model until i searched why the door rubbers were colour code!!!

So after posting a few places people went wild with offers and comments.

Seem as though its quite a rare car in an unmolested state.

 

impressive wind deflector, original radio and speaker, tax discs from 1980, basically its a time warp mini

 

It was last on the road back in 1990 where is was parked up and left in a garage until 3 years ago where a mate of mine bought it to rebuild with his son (big arches 1275 etc) i told him back then to leave it as standard..... thankfully he it stayed in his garage for another 3 years and i stepped in and bought it Thursday night.

 

So ive got it in the garage and had a look.... its had 2 oversills, small patch on both rear arches and thats it. ive got it running and its smooth and quiet. Brakes are shot but what do you expect for 27 years off the road.

 

after alot of people comment and input im going to restore this mini, as there is nothing missing off the car i dont have to source any original parts so should be a straight forward resto.

 

Ive got to finish my clubman off and sort out some storage then i may start this soon.

Looks like you've found yourself a right little gem. Glad to hear you'll be keeping it standard. That's a fairly impressive wind deflector right enough.

Yeah seems that way! Can't wait to get started on it but need to sort out storage first 🙈

That's awesome! That wind deflector is so cool! I don't know how but you should get some molds made up so you can do some copies

Finally found a bit of dry storage for the stripey until i decide what to do

So clubman is finished so its now in the garage.

Plan now is a very lightly resto to get it mot'd and on the road.

 

New brakes, service clean and polish and thats about it

Im pretty certain Ive just bought its sister but in white.. didnt know what I had until I researched, mines been stored since the 80s

Fantastic find !

took this to its first local show this weekend covering 70 miles and didnt miss a beat

Looks like a solid survivor! Spotted this in the sold section of eBay, looks like the same model but not the same condition! 1975 mini 1000.
