Can anyone help me with the original colour of the crank damper/lower pulley on an early green engine? Presumably normally green too?

All green along with the gearbox, starter, dynamo and thermostat housing.

Not forgetting the distributor body, sometimes the ignition coil and it's mounting clamp around the dynamo (if yours was mounted there), and even the inlet part of the manifold in some cases! And the dipstick. (Possibly that may be disputed?) But not the radiator top and bottom brackets, which were black. Sometimes... Allegedly... Depending in whether it was Austin or Morris... But I only tell what I personally have seen. Yours may have been different.

Good luck in your quest for originality. It matters but don't let it spoil your fun!
