What I usually do after flushing the engine is to run the car up to temperature without the thermostat fitted, I don't run one as my engines don't overheat so we shall see

You need to run at least s blanking sleeve for the correct water flow. Otherwise you'll get engine hot spots.

At the mo its off the road, booooooo I think the head gasket has gone white smoke from the exhorst. :-( cant see and oil mixing with the water at all but white smoke id say a sure sign head gasket is going and hence whats brobably causing it to over heat.   Ive got one of the medway monkey mebers hopfully comming to take a good look at it on sunday fingers crossed. He said what ever all the problems are hes sure he can fix it. So will just have to wait till hes looked it over and tells me what parts i need so he can sort it out for me.
