Anyone out there that could help me I have a zcars frame in the back of my mini with a r1 engine. My problem is that it's very hard to get moving from standing start. There is loads of power there cause when it gets going it's like a rocket.

I would start with the gearing, what size sprockets front and rear have you got, also your tyre sizes and engine year. I have a spreadsheet which I can input your figures in to work out if you are over geared

Some people will tell you that this is what they are like but they are incorrect

Rear sprocket is usually 41T and you will need a front 13T sprocket to have a better start. Top speed will still be +200 kmh depending on your tires. It also helps to get a smaller clutch master cylinder to increase the sensitivity on the clutch.

Let us know how it goes :)

Hello,

Are you sure the rear sprocket is 35? You are massively over geared if that is the case it's nearly geared as high as the bike it came from 170 plus which means first gear is about 85~90 mph

Cheers

David

I would drop your gearing from a 35 tooth to a 47 tooth rear sprocket leaving the 16T front sprocket which give you a top speed of around 130mph, just over 60mph in first gear.

I would stay away from ultra small front sprockets like a 13T which still wouldn't give you a low enough gearing without changing the rear sprocket as well.

Make sure you have enough physical room to increase the rear sprocket that much and you may need to get a longer chain if there isn't enough adjustment available

A 15T front sprocket and a rear sprocket of 43T will give you the same sort of gearing as the 16T and 47T set up but may help with packaging

Cheers
