Leaded To Unleaded Engine

Do I get the 998cc engine block changed from leaded to unleaded or buy a 'new' refurbished engine which has already had the conversion/painting/ fault finding(?) already done?
Price for the latter on Ebay is about the same as the former
Another question, does a refurbished engine reset the clock or does it carry it's existing mileage pre-refurbishment?

Be very careful buying off eBay. Do a search on here; there are a lot of horror stories. My engine has done 56k genuine miles, now here's the question...

Is there anything wrong with the engine as it is?
It's the head that is leaded or unleaded.

Nothing wrong with the current engine whatsoever to be honest, it's just not been converted yet.Is there anything wrong with the engine as it is?

It really runs well on unleaded (and additive)
Edit: to clarify, when I said 'block' I meant engine as a whole unit x

If by some chance you consider buying off eBay put the details on here because quite a few of the rip off merchants are known to the members.Ok will do, thank you x

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I would say if the engine is in good heath then leave it as it is and use additive if you want. Personally I don't use the stuff in any of my classics as they don't get thrashed (often) and don't do a lot of miles.

Alternatively just use an unleaded fuel additive like castrol valve master or similar.
As mentioned above, beware of some of the ebay rebuilt engine scams.
