Squeaking From N/s Front Suspension... 1994 Tahiti

Best Answer Clint221 , 26 September 2017 - 03:45 PM

Turned out to be the shock bushings, not the shock itself... the inner metal sleeve on the old shocks didn't protrude as far as the new ones so the washers were rubbing on the shock itself... great job now, not a squeak nor a rattle :D

Hi, I recently had my 1994 Mini Tahiti fitted with new rubbers, adjustable cones and ball joints, however I am getting an annoying rubber squeak at very low speeds, even if I press down on the corner myself.

I bet it's just the shocks mine squeeked. It was the bushes top and bottom Abit of grease should quiet them down

Could be "Mini creak". We're the knuckle joints replaced at the same time? If not they could be wearing through the nylon cups.
