I've just been offered a very good job in Canada, and am preparing for emigration. As part of this, I must sell my part restored 1971/2 1275GT mini. Basically, I have literally run out of time. Owned 6 years, on SORN for the last 5 (I haven't been restoring it quickly). I've done the back (shot blasted powder coated rear subframe (no welding req), recon trailing arms, rebuilt boot floor). Just finished welding the middle (new complete 1/2 floor, door skin, A-panel). And was contemplating starting the front, but must now stop. I put the wheels back on yesterday and rolled it out of the garage for the first time in 5 years to take the attached photos. It's complete - i.e. everythign's there, but obviously needs a lot more work. K-reg, fast road engine (not matching numbers, 10-year old curves showing 67hp), chassis number matches 1275. I haven't done anything to the engine other than replacing clutch linkage components, and fitting roller type driveshaft couplings back when it was on the road. Would be very interested in thoughts about valuation: I've been out of the mini scene for a while - a few days a year spent in the garage only.

Can provide more details or answer questions. Very sad time.

Does it have it's 7.5" disk brakes on the front, and regarding the engine is it a period engine, ie A series 1275 with remote gearbox and all the bits or is it a later A+ rod ?

Yeah, closer look at the pictures suggests rod change box, I'm afraid that it's also got drums on the front as I'd expect the cosmics to fill the arch on disks.

With the above taken into consideration, plus the lack of original trim which is getting very difficult to find,  and assuming the documentation is all correct and in place, I'd place it in the 1500 to 2k bracket.

It's got 7.5" discs on the front. Engine is an A series, not an A+. It does have a rod change on it, but old style diff. VIN starts XAD2-, commission starts S20D-

I'd put Guessworks' estimate back down then knock a bit more off - on a '72 GT the Commission number should start D20D.  D20S is standard clubman shell.

An under-bonnet photo would help confirm what the shell is.

has 1275GT commission numbers starting S20D, which matches. Clubman would be S20S.

Underbonnet photo attached.

I believe the list to be wrong.

Very genuine early GTs have commission numbers starting D20D, later ones (12" wheel) shared the D20S number as they were exactly the same shell as a clubman at that point.

Your car doesn't have the front servo bracket mounted correctly, but more importantly it doesn't have the correct holes in the inner wing for the bracket (and by reference is missing the plate under the wing with the two captive nuts).

The VIN also has D in the third position, indicating 2 door saloon (Mk III Cooper S and 1275GT only), which matches the commision number. If the list is wrong it's wrong for both VIN and commission numbers, which seems very strange to me. You should raise this with the site.

Interesting GW.

I will admit that maybe my memory is playing tricks on me between Commission No & Body Number (only BL would use numbering schemes that we so similar!)

But then the body number looks to be missing off this car and the inner wing is still wrong for a '72 GT.....
