Well,

I'm starting to look towards getting a removable quick release steering wheel.

The only thing holding me back is the styling options.

Is there anything that looks original?

And by original I mean would suit an 80's early 90's Mini with the full dash?

Matt

I recently put one on my mini what do you mean styling in regards to the quick release or steering wheel?

EDIT: the play is in the steering lock not the quick release

Its my original steering wheel, the boss adapter and quick release was from this bloke, good guy knows his stuff. He was recommended on this forum  http://www.scarbro-racing.co.uk/

Ah the PCD conundrum, what i did was i bought a new boss with the smaller PCD, then the quick release to suit, then i got an adapter changing smaller PCD to the larger PCD off a classic mini wheel. Came to ~£118 bolts and shipping included. Only thing i would say, it does lift the wheel up and closer to you it does take a little getting used to.

It's from Scarborough Racing Developments, you're better off ringing Keith 01723 363786 rather than using the website. He's very good and real old school, he's now only open Wed, Thur, Fri 10.00 to 4.00pm and Saturday morning.
