The fuel pump is a GSXR 1000 bike pump. It has pre filter, high pressure pump, pressure regulator and high pressure filter all built in so is great for packaging. I may remove the pressure regulator though as it's not adjustable and fit an external one. I've removed the float mechanism.

Fuel pump adaptor machined up. I'll pick my fuel tank up tomorrow and get the adaptor welded to the bottom and the breather and fuel return fittings welded on too.

My new alloy rear beam (subframe replacement) has turned up - top service from Mini Spares and TMF discount too :-)

Like a lot of projects, progress has been a touch slow / stop start. I've also had a bit of a change of direction. I was planning on running in Mod Prod next season in the Welsh Championship (hence the K series head which retains the original A Series block) but there's nobody else in the class so I've made a decision to go and run in Sports Libre where there will be a handful of cars / competition.

Sports Libre allows a lot more freedom (although I will be keeping the shell in Mod Prod configuration (or close). Engine choice is free so I'm going Honda Powered :-) I've bought a Honda B18 engine (with B16 head) and an LSD box. I've also got a subframe on its way too. Hopefully this will be a simpler build than the K Series conversion....

Hopefully, it will be blasted and primed by the end of the week and in paint soon after.

Cool project, currently planning my build at the moment. Over the coming year or two I will be building my minus into sports libre spec for some sprinting and hill climbs with the aim to get it out circuit racing in the future in a silhouette series.

Planning to go down the K head route myself, spaceframe construction since I want as less stress on the GRP monocoque as possible, its not a completely efficient way of doing it but its a compromise I am willing to take.

Will keep my eye on your build, always interesting to watch them come together.

Sounds like an interesting project!

Don't forget the additional licence requirements for Sports Libre (sorry if I'm teaching my grand mother to suck eggs).

Thanks. It's a Mercedes white with gun metal grey roof. The interior / under bonnet have been done in the grey too.
It's sort of retro but in modern colours I think.
