They are substantially changed from the originals in many ways, & 'modernised' so I view them as the next in the evolution of the Moke, probably along similar lines from Mini to MINI.
It appears that in the US, only the electric versions are being made. I don't know if this will expand in time to include the petrol models, but I suspect not.
As Rocketman has said, this is exploiting a class of vehicle (in the US) that can only be driven up to 25 mph as the petrol models will do circa 60 mph, I think that puts them outside of this class.
