The car I am building isn't a Z car based conversion but I am using 13" tyres larger than a 175/50 R13

As many of the Z cars have used Miglia arches in the past I am interested to know which specific supplier people have used for their Miglia arches, I ask because from the photos I have seen there seems to be wide variety of 'shapes'

I don't mean regular versus wide or extra wide I mean the diameter of tyre they can take and not look like the arch radius is too small.

This may actually be a 175/50 but it still serves to show the difference in shape

And this is what a typical 10" Miglia installation looks like:

The yellow line showing the width / diameter of the 'opening'

I appreciate that an arch can be manipulated / pulled to an extent but these look reasonably different?

As I say anyone that has had Mig arches on a Z car and can tell me where they got them from assuming they look a little like the Z cars above?

Cheers

I can't answer your question and those arches do look different, but I think most of the difference is down to the slightly different perspective between the pictures and the top car is a Minus, so it's shorter in the body where the arches are.

the overall diameter of 13" and 10" wheels is pretty much the same certainly 165 10's and 175 50 13's are almost exactly the same so you can just use the normal mig arches,

You can change the shape of the miglias a wee bit depending how you mount them to the body. I mounted mine using flat bar I bent to over degree angles then fiberglass them to the underside of the arch then bolted to the body.

I think in the top pic the arches have been stretched against the body as much as they can go and bolted to the body whereas the bottom pic the arches have been left in their more natural shape.

This is my mini with 13" wheels and miglia fitted to the rear. I'm not sure how big a tyre you could fit under the mig arch tho.

My arches are from curley, but if I were to buy another set I'd prolly buy them from carbon weezel because they come with brackets.

I actually think the arches are mounted waaaay higher up on the body and are definitely shorter or smaller in overall length. The top pic is what I'd like to achieve but being a rear engine car that you basically can cut the crap out of the body without tubbing the hell out of my car I won't get there. Look at the position of where the flares stops, it's half way down the tail light whereas the other is right down to the bumper. I'm probably going to shorten or cut mine so it exposes more tire tread and gives the illusion it's the same

The photo of the red car in your first post is actually a Mini Minus so it's not a standard sized Mini, that's probably whats throwing you. It is a Z Cars Mini though and the arches are Miglia extra wide, details here http://www.theminifo...00-minus/page-7

Not sure if this will help as others have mentioned give Carbon Weezel a call as they have sorted some minor damage to a front wheel arch on my car.
The rears are 205/45/13 on 8×13 Image alloys.

On the 2nd picture you can see a small plastic block made from UPVC window board 6 - 8 mm in depth to allow the arch to clear the tyre and the wider body trim to cover the gap.
