Win a Classic Car- Contestants Needed For Rebuild TV Pilot

We are piloting a new competitive, classic car rebuild TV show called ‘Build It, Start It, Keep It’ for a major UK broadcaster, and we need contestants.

Have you and two mates got the basic mechanical skills to rebuild a car?

If you can build it and start it before the other team do, you will get to keep it!

For the pilot we are looking for contestants with a passion for classic cars such as Paddy Hopkirk Mini’s, MGB’s, Beetles etc.

Do you have a personal story as to why you want to win the car?

Do you want to win the car for a family member or friend?

Are you outgoing and up for a challenge?

Do you want to put your mechanical skills to the ultimate test by competitively rebuilding a car, head to head in one day?

Are you free October 28th & 29th?

If so I’d love to hear from you, please email me a bit about yourself, your potential team and why you’d like to win the car.

[email protected]

Please feel free to share this with anyone you feel might be interested in the show

Rebuilding a classic car in ONE day.

If you haven't got a working title for this show yet can i suggest....  A Bodgers Guide: How To Slap A Car Together.

Teasing aside, it sounds like a decent idea, but googling produces no evidence that this is legit. Beware of offering any personal information.

It all seems to be legit - it just seems like a really bad idea.

Pistonheads didn't waste any time on the concept & pulled it off their site.

MINI2 someone had a rant that car parts are manufactured to only last 40-70K.... & then they really went off at a tangent!

Should've thought of linkedin  :dozing:

Don't we expect telly progs on classic cars to be a bit gimmicky - the two naturally work on entirely different time scales. Still, I liked Scrapheap Challenge and I liked Wheeler Dealers, Classic Car Rescue....erm

Unprofessional, first post from someone we haven't hear of with an email address to contact...smells like SPAM.

What are "Paddy Hopkirk minis" ?

Bit of a joke if this is legit

Just checked out his Linkedin profile his experience appears varied to say the least   :ohno:  for his top billing of an incident involving an ex associate of David Beckham!
