What fins? Ive just been on the Minispares website and Ive no idea what you mean? Do you have a link?

No problems asking are the good to improve rear braking

The rear brakes only do about 20% of the braking, so for road use are totally unnecessary.
For racing the only advantage is that they are slightly lighter.
Originally they were designed for the front where hard driving with drums caused a lot of brake fade.

They're called Superfins on their site and unless you're competing or a poseur like me you won't need them.

It's difficult enough to get heat into the rear breaks on a Mini, last thing you want is to make them colder!
