Haven't posted on here in a while but just wanted to highlight a car which I thought I had won only a week or so ago but turns out the seller didn't like the price it ended at so he has re-listed it!

Here is the car in question: http://www.ebay.co.u...2EAAOSwCY9Zrdge

On the 14th of September I put a bid in to win the car, and much to my surprise, it became the winning bid at £4201. I was over the moon and a little shocked as I hadn't planned on a second Mini but was excited none the less. Fired off a message straight away asking how we should organise payment and collection.

A few days later the user replies to my message, apologising and saying he wouldn't take less than £5000 for the car. I replied suggesting if he wanted a certain price or above then he should have set a reserve or started the bidding at that price.

He then offered me the car at £4500 to which I replied if he delivered it to my front door (130 miles away), we would have a deal.

This evening I found the above link... The car back up for sale again...

After reading his user feedback it doesn't look like the first time he has done this but I intend it to be the last! I have contacted eBay in a few different ways to make them aware of the situation.

Just wanted to give a heads up to anyone here looking at the car... Don't bother, he'll just re-list it and try for more money!

... Back to thoughts of making my Mini 30 a rally car...

Don't worry, cars never make their 1st price when resold in an auction. That applies to Ebay or any car auction. Just make sure you forget to bid.

What appalling feedback!
Ebay need to ban him as a seller.

Just called eBay as their online support is useless.

Much to my surprise I got through to a real human and she was very helpful. The even read through the messages sent back and forth to confirm the facts etc.

They have a team looking into the case right now and they've said action will be taken.

Hopefully he doesn't get away with this one!

Surely when feedback goes below 90%, alarm bells should ring.

Who's going to trust 87,5%?

Sorry to sound cynical but to me, that's just another and all too common, ebay experience.

Friend of mine has an '83 and it does not have the master/servo combination, so what year is this car anyway? Buyer beware.

If you read his feedback you'll see he makes a habit of this.

Have you left him negative feedback as well??

If the last 4 or 5 comments are all red saying he's a timewaster no-one is going to bid on his car.

Yes left negative feedback on the seller.

Hopefully eBay will deal with the rest from here!

Was very tempted to comment on this thread but looks like people have beaten me to it.

Hopefully makes any prospective buyers aware of the kind of person they are dealing with!

Lots of things could have been altered/fitted but rear (C post) seatbelt mounts weren't fitted untill 1989 & that looks suspiciously like a round fan hole in the inner wing -which makes the shell 1991 at the earliest.

Wouldn't have bid on it what with the sellers feedback - but this one stinks.... a car given an earlier (non-tax exempt) registration - why would someone feel the need to give it a different identity even when it made the car worth less than it would have done.
