Hi All.

A little while back Photobucket 3rd party hosting stopped and i'd say most folk on here who used it had a spanner thrown there way and the photo's in their posts replaced by a logo.

Has the hosting returned or something?

I've been away from here for a bit and just looked at my build thread and the photo's have returned......what's the deal peeps???

Deathrow has put in a workaround but from what I understand its not a long term fix. You need to start off with a new provider. I use imgur. Its much quicker and easier.

So old photo's have returned but new stuff needs to go elsewhere???

That would explain why photo's I have on another site for another build are still missing.

Was kind of hoping Photobucket had stopped being greedy.

No chance with Photobucket changing their mind and you will need to host the rest of your pictures elsewhere. Try imgur you'll find it easy.

Some Forums have pulled all the images from Photobucket and hosted them on their own servers, changing the links in the process.

That means they won't loose their images when Photobucket eventually go's belly-up.

When he eventually manages to find some time I believe this is what Deathrow is looking to do.

Takes a while to setup and usually a week or so for the transition to complete, because after everything is transferred the forum then gets mobbed by web-crawlers going over all the new material.

Might be worth just doing the technical and project sections, keeps the storage use down.
