Time has come to sell my Rover 25. I bought this car last year as a stop gap, and it has been brilliant. I have really grown attached to it, so I want it to go to someone who isn't going to run it into the ground.

When I bought this car it had 88k miles on the clock, and the head gasket and clutch had just been replaced. This was done by a hobby mechanic, so I have no receipts etc of the work. He assured me that an up rated head gasket was used though.

Once mine I put it in for a full service, including a cambelt change.

4 new tyres in December 2016.

Registered in January 2005, this Rover now has just under 96k miles on the clock.

MOT until 15/05/2018. Passed this year without any advisories. Drives without any problems.

It had been using some oil for a few months. However I put some Wynns Oil Treatment into the oil last month and the level has stayed right on the max line since.

The coolant also seemed to randomly drop occasionally. However since the weather has cooled down that also seems to have stabilised.

The oil and water are both clean so I am certain its not the head gasket.

Everything works on the car as it should apart from the rear washer. Has the odd chip/scratch as you would expect for an old car like this.

Some bubbling of the paint on the drivers door, and a tiny rust spot on the passenger wing.

Details:

1.4l GSI (103PS) 5 Door
Leather interior
Air Con
Electric Windows front and rear
Bluetooth stereo
Alloys
Front Fogs
Remote Central Locking
Alarm
Electric Heated Mirrors

I have tried to be as honest as I can with this. The car isn't perfect by any means, but it still drives great, and could be easily tidied up to look the part. There is nothing significantly wrong with this car, it is just a bit aged. Be great as a second car runabout that someone wants to spend a little time on getting it to look perfect.

Grab yourself one of the last all British mass produced cars ever made!

Located in Coventry, and your welcome to come and view it. PM me.

For TMF users the price is £325, provided you promise to look after it!
