I wouldn't mind one myself, saves the hassle of having to worry about paint!

I personally think people are getting patina and rat look confused with each other. With my interpretation of patina being original and well cared for, but not mint or concourse, with items repaired rather than replaced.

Technically patina refers to the surface finish, specifically the age/wear/oxidation of the paint and metal.

You could say any rust is a patina really, but in this context people are referring to a look of well used but not overly damaged.

Ahhh there used to be a thread for this in the build section not long ago. I was following it but can't find it now :/ I think the owner was in the USA which explains why the patina is so good.

My mini is like Shifty's, pure neglect, but I'm leaving it like that as it's nice not having to worry about it as much

Faded racecar is a look a mini could pull off if you're willing to spend abit to get the parts.

You want painted numbers and advertisign signs, rubbed through so only a faint image remains.
Stick some old wheels, bucket seats and front light protectors on and it'd look pretty good.

I agree with the appreciation of the green mini - think it would look better on 10's though
