Hi Guys,

I have a 67 5 door Mini Cooper hatch. I attached a phone holder to the dashboard but realised after my maiden voyage I didnt like the way it looked so removed it and Ive been left with a ring on the dashboard which looks like a water mark. The phone mount was one Id used on a previous car without issue and has one of those resuable grips that you wipe clean and reapply using suction. Before anyone says it I know i shouldnt have put anything on my dash and shouldve used the windscreen but it was on for less then 2 hours and the stain has gone in the last 4 Days. Any help would be MASSIVELY appreciated.

Thanks in advance

as the Mini never had 5 doors in 67 I guess you mean you have a MINI.

you may have noticed when you signed up that is says this is a forum for the Classic Mini not the MINI.

I would try Mini2 or totalmini

we do have the odd member that has purchased a MINI but you would do better on a forum dedicated to the MINI.

i believe the 67 refers to the reg and not the year of manufacturer.

and with regards to cleaning i am finding that a household mutlisurface cleaner is good but i would suggest testing on a inconspicuous area first just to make sure it doesnt leave any marks but should do the job fine

I think you'll find Nick was being ironic, given the amount of Bini owners who, even though its made clear at registration can't work out its a classic Mini site and still register. :proud:

Did they not give you a bag of "special" products to clean the motor with, in and out?

I'd use something with Auto Glym name on it from Halfords to wipe it off.

i think i missed the irony then and there has always been  that issue of missing that it is a classic mini site and the debates about it too lol
