Does anyone know for certain whether a 1964 de Luxe 850 had leather cloth across the lower and/or upper dash rails and possibly up the A-posts?

I keep searching but can't be sure.

I have a 1962 deluxe and it has no vinyl on dash at all, also a single clock, I thought deluxe had been replaced by super deluxe in 1964 though and if my memory serves me correct these have vinyl on lower dash rail only and have 3 clock dash

1964 was Super deluxe. As Daz says vinyl on lower dash rail only. Just plain black vinyl not padded. Body Painted upper dash rail and A posts. Centre ashtray with open grille. Cream painted switch panel.
Heater with fresh air. (My first mini)

Thanks. Mine is a Super deLuxe so just the lower rail.
Got the roof ready for OE White top coat today. Making a bit of progress at last!

You will have to post a few pictures of progress. There is something about a standard 850 mk1 mini that makes them special

Peter I edited my post. Lower dash rail vinyl was black, not colour keyed to door pads.

Thanks for that. There are so many non-standard interiors on early cars that I was finding it hard to get a definite answer. Now I know. I actually have a small quantity of the correct leather-cloth somewhere which was left over from the last Cooper I did. I covered the extra instrument panel I made for a 1990 Cooper 1275 Endurance Rally Car I used a few years ago.

I'll post some photos starting from the shell when it is fully painted (almond green/OE white).
