Hi

We have had our Mayfair for years now stuck in garage had the 998 out cleaned  done some head work, put it back in

then the chance of 1275 sprite engine(20,000)ish came up.

So we had it and the strip out started ,as said this all happen few years ago (about 9 in fact )  then it was just left sat on axle stands in our integral garage .

The black Mayfair was my Son's 15th Birthday pressie to my ex-wife's distaste  say no more .

Long story short college -Uni and his marriage the little black car was left in the dark.

Dad has decided to pick up where we left off  ,

The motor was stripped of the spi gear and mg metro inlet-Carb. fitted  Stage 2 head ,1.5 rockers with Aldon yellow dizzy.

with a single box maniflo system with manifold.

There it stayed loads of bits lots of body work had been done years back  new  rear boot floor section , drivers floor .

Sills had been sorted before i bought  her.

Did have some fun trying to sort the wiring out ditching the solenoid with the newer pre-engaged starter

Did get her fire up a few times but never really tick-over properly then it got moth balled .

But things are stirring in the garage  i want to bring the old girl out of the dark bring the little mini back to the public eye.

So will be going threw all the older wiring checking all my old work and fingers crossed will be able to get her back from the dead very soon.

If needed hope some of you more accomplished mini impresarios might be able steer me me to success

will add some pic very soon
