That's why i binned my magnum front panel and ordered a Heritage one. I just could not get it to fit properly. Whatever I did, there was something out of shape.

Edit,

Are you sure that's a genuine one ? it has what looks like a magnum sticker on it.

Looking really good. My advice would be to replace the whole of the lower scuttle panel with a heritage one, then you can access the state of the lip on the panels below and treat any surface rust to ensure it won't come back. Also on a car of this value when finished I would always use Heritage Panels where you can. Whilst they require some fettling it is a lot less the the pattern panels.

I believe eras where built using a complete mini city as a base, austin rover would supply era witha complete car which they would modify and send all the original parts back, thats why you can see where the original wheelarchs had been fitted the removed to fit the era bodykit.

Despite all the modifications made to these inc shortening the base of the rear seat from your pictures they do appear to be a bit of a bodge up.

The interior for my first car (which was a mini city e fitted with Kat body kit) was a grey city interior that had been stripped out of a car built by ERA. I can't remember where I bought it, but back in those days, it would have been from an advert in one of the owners club magazines or Mini World magazine.

I have a real soft spot for ERA's, I remember looking at one of them at a Rover garage in Leeds with my dad in the early 1990's. It was £8k ish, he decided to have it but it had sold whilst he was thinking about it.
