Hi

I've just noticed a faded small purple spot has appeared on my mini cooper 16 external trim. I haven't changed how I wash it and never use a car wash. What could have happened. It's on on one spot and is the size of a pea.

ah so you have a BMW MINI.

you may have noticed when you signed up this is a Classic Mini forum.

there are a few people who know paint and may have some chemical info on what may have happened but if it is an issue with MINIs I would try the Mini2 forum.

If it's had a previous repair there it could be a patch of filler which wasnt primed over before painting. Or it could be filler with too much hardener in, something like that.
