Hello

I have been using MiniSpares for a couple of years now and really I have had no issues with them whatsoever. They have been great so far.

 

The last two orders though have been slower than usual.

 

One I placed on Sunday and was delivered Friday PM.

The second ordered this Tuesday and I haven't had a despatch confirmation yet.

 

I know this isn't exactly glacial dispatching, but I have come to expect better. I tend only to order parts when I am about to need them so they aren't going rusty or taking up space in the garage - so this is slowing me down a bit.

 

Anybody else noticed similar?  And if MiniSpares reps are listening, is this the shape of things to come or a temporary busy period?

Next day delivery? I've always had impeccable next day from them, and ordered way too much stuff over the years aha

I've always had great service from them. I hope yours is just a one off. Let us know the outcome.

Hi, 3-5 working days is what we quote for standard delivery and usually is actually quicker than this. As Midas MK1 says, we offer next day delivery if placed before midday for an extra £2. If you can send me your latest order number I can look into it for you.

Thanks Gav, order numbers sent. I think I'd gotten used to it being 3 days.

  

I use 'courier standard' delivery which is always delivered by DHL the day after despatch (they send email updates) so the delay must be the picking and despatch

 

Does selecting 'courier express' just jump that queue?

 

I still love the service and have never had a bad order!

I've had this with my last 2 ordered but more so with my latest. Ordered on Monday and only got the dispatch email today. But in reality it won't be dispatched until monday. So 7 days before dispatch. A little disappointed as I planned on working on the mini this weekend.

Previous 2 orders were placed on a Saturday and arrived by Friday. (To southern Ireland with DHL)

Could be a staff issue with people taking holidays is such.

i ordered stuff on Saturday night and it was dispatched on Tuesday, so cant complain!

I ordered basically an entire front end, was dispatched on the day it said it would and received the following day. First time i've made a massive purchase from there and they didnt fail.

 

I'd have liked better tracking with their choice of courier (DHL) as it said "by end of today" which is less than useful but had a nice chat with the driver who was interested in what i ordered.

Placed order last Friday, confirmed carriage charges on Monday (oversized package), got email Thursday confirming goods will be delivered “soon”. Still waiting for shipping info, not great. More worrying been having trouble getting in touch recently, sent 2 emails over past 2 weeks, no reply to either of them.

Just a few hours after my post about recent delivery and communication issues I received a PM from [email protected] asking for details of my order. He jumped right on it and 24 hours later my goods arrived. That’s what I call customer service. Well done Minispares, my faith is restored!
