I know the basic idea of how thy make mini shells for space frame use but when i see the monocoque mini shells like this (https://i0.wp.com/ww...t=720,540&ssl=1) i am completely lost on how they make them or how a mold for one would look do any of you have more information on the process of this ?

it is all basic Fiberglassing. nothing special. just lots of time and effort to have a good base then a good mould and then make parts.

Boat building will be the main outlet for fibreglassing by hand, google that if grp moulding doesn't throw up anything of interest.

The glassfibree handbook by WH Warring - if it's the one I'm thinking of covers the repair of a Lotus Elan. You could probably find something more up to date, covering carbon, Kevlar and Epoxy, but there won't be much difference for hand layup.

East Coast Supplis in South Shields are helpful suppliers.
