just get someone who can do it. then you wont need to pay for when it goes wrong. and to be honest i dont think it will be up to it.

I only need one front hoop (2 bends). Might try a local exhaust manufacturer

Likely to end up with a crease in your tube using that. Should really be a mandrel type bender for cages. Why don't you ask a supplier just to send you out a front leg?

You must have a local fabricator surely? Plenty of bending handrails for fire escapes etc to be done.

You can use one but you'll need at least 3mm wall tube. Bear in mind that's a pipe bender not a tube bender. The outer diameters are different.  The tube will crush at the bends. You can relieve this by packing the tube with kiln sand and welding the ends up prior to bending. But as said, get a local fabricator to do it. You just need to make a cardboard template and they will bend to that.

Totally agree, I bought one of these to bend up some tube and it totally ruined it, I found a local guy who built landrovers with specialist roll cages and he bent the tube up for me, much cheaper than buying one of these which now sits in the corner of my workshop gathering dust.

Ive used one of those and as its a pipe bender not a tube bender it creases so shouldnt be used on a cage. Contact Cyclone Motorsport, great guy (Rob) and he will post out to you

Yes and it doesn't work properly.

Should be mandrel bent to do it correctly.

ive got one and get good results, used it to bend all the framework for the trike i built a few years ago. ive also bent up tyre racks for trailers etc.
material choice is crucial, making sure the pipe is correct diameter to the former you wish to use.
i used cds pipe ( cold drawn seamless) less prone to crushing and some seamed pipes can split along the seam when bending.
the bend radius obviously has limits, dont expect to bend 180 degree bends.

Are they tight bends for the 90 degrees

yoù can acheive 90 degree bends but not in a acute angle unfortunately, but again it all depends on tube diameter and wall thickness etc
