Left Over Bolt

Best Answer AeroNotix , 14 October 2017 - 04:39 PM

I found the name, it's the purge valve. It's behind the coolant tank as I said. Should be the bolt for the purge valve's bracket. Looks exactly like it!

I'll have another guess. Did the MPI engine come with a cat exhaust?

Is it possible to have just be a bolt that’s accidentally been mixed with the rest?

I know what it's for but I don't know what the part is called. Behind the coolant tank there's a doodad with an electrical connection that mounts on a bracket. It has fuel lines(??) going to it. That "nut" is a bush that is pressed into that bracket and the bolt goes into that. I can get a picture if you need.

It's a shoulder bolt.

As in, the one bolt you have left over and then chuck over your shoulder to get rid of it!

Ahh, it is you know! It had a rubber bit around the collar, the 89 had no mounting for it so I used rivnuts and a different size of bolts.

CHEERS!

If it had the rubber ring on it still I might of sussed it, it's been nagging me for weeks sitting on a shelf.

Thanks everyone xx
