Zinc plate may look good, but if you are zinc passivate plating alloy steel parts you may wish to throw them away or use them as desk ornaments..... Google hydrogen embrittlement....

And to avoid that, we put them in the oven at 200 degrees for about 10 minutes,,,,,,

What are you trying to teach our younger generation ? please check your facts before you write total nonsense, this process will not work on high alloy steels, carbon and low alloy only and other materials such as aluminium etc, however where on earth did you get 10 minutes from ??
