Old Number Plates

Having a garage clear out, loads of old number plates from past cars and bikes as you tend to keep for some reason!
Want to bin them, but should I adhere to anything in regards dvla/law or anything? Dont want some idiot to use them after I bin them for anything dodgy.

Had a neighbour recently her car had both plates meticulously removed..! They were screw on not stuck/bonded.

before you bin them ,be on the safe side and cut them up,you never know these days

If the cars the plates were attached to have been scrapped then they won't be of interest to plate thieves. Part of the reason for taking them is that it helps dodge ANPR. No point in doing that with plates that'll flag up with anything.

 

That said, I'd snap/cut them before binning them just in case.
