Does anyone watch this?

Apparently on a recent episode, which I didn't see, in one shot there was a red/white Cooper 'S' in the workshop with the English number plate 360AUN.

I restored and prepared that car some years ago and it was sold by my friend who took it to the USA where it got the California registration '1071S'.

It seems the car is now back in the UK and I would like to know who owns it now. It is a full-on rally car with FIA and MSA recognition papers, although it will need new 'in date' seats, belts and fire extinguishers now.

They've got a facebook page, you could try to message them that way and ask about it.

I'll message them for you. I'll see if there's any other way of getting hold of them too.

That was the first event for the car just after I had completed the build. My great Friend Bill Rogers came over from LA and drove the car. It was our first event together for 25 years and we got a class win and 7th overall against some really quick machinery.

Bill then bought the Mini and it went to California. The last time I drove it was in California when I had been over on holiday and Bill & I did an engine re-build/refresh.

Notice how 'cammy' the engine is. It had a 649 cam which we later changed to a 286 - still v. cammy! It has a SC CR gearbox and a 4.1:1 FDR.

It is a super little car and the handling has always been superb.

It is now back in the UK, or so I believe, and I want to find out who owns it.

Thanks for posting this.
