Hi all,

I bought a new boot floor from mini spares a couple of weeks ago and have just realised that the reinforcment metal along the front of the rear seat part is missing.Between the 2 storage bins. It's really quite floppy without it !

I can't find it for sale anywhere, should it have been there ? do I have to bodge it up with a metal strip ?

Wasn't on my boot floor either, I didn't realise a bit was missing. Just checked what I cut out and sure enough it's there

Yup none of them come with it fitted. Poor form really. Made both of mine myself. Bit of cheek really paying for a bit of folded thin metal which should have come fitted already in my eyes. The panel is expensive as it is.

How much would the piece be? Don't fancy my chances of bending a piece of steel straight enough lol

you'll also be missing the cage holding the negative cable nut, the bracket for the fuel tank strap, the tags to hold the wiring loom down, and if you're really picky, the two plates by the side of the arches

On that note James, any idea how I can get the petrol tank bracket in the right place ? are there measurements around to help me ?

And I'm still debating whether to put the two plates back on

I used the original corner with the bracket still attached to get the correct position (I bought a new bracket, wasn't sure how to save brackets as the first bit of bodywork I had undertaken).

If you don't have a reference you would have to put the boot floor in the car, put the tank in with the bracket and clamp the bracket down through the rear light hole?

I only put the brackets on as I'm anal and wanted 100% originality... The plates are under where the seat base and the arch bracket are. Maybe the plates add strength?
