why not just get a Mini one?
if not changing it just use as is. cant see it being an issue.

Because thats no fun. You dont think the fan would be robbing air from the filter entry? (Im no aerodynamicist, Im guessing.)

get the austin metro type inlet box instead (if the pipe fits between the brake servo and engine). that comes around the engine and has inlet in front of the engine.

Air wasnt important. New drive by noise laws made them do it 😊

Are we we back to the original question? The filter element is offset away from the intake so air can flow to all of it. Cutting a hole elsewhere won't have that gradual reduction in area going away from the air inlet. A pipe could work well, the smoother its surface the better. Are you plumbing in the vacuum operated hot air flap?

I dont have the flap, all I have at the minute is the air box as above, with the inlet facing the radiator. The question is, is this the best direction to be drawing air from? Or should I modify the air box to draw air from the other side of the engine?
