Seen this type of clamp on a bailiff programme. Wondered if anyone has used them and what they think of them.

problem with these is the wheel can still be removed

but will slow a thief down esp if you  have locking wheel nuts

may even stop a joy rider

the triangle ones that cover the wheel nuts are better - but bulkier

probably too much for a mini boot

I think we all need to be looking at some form of wheel lock

I may have a play at work - see if I can come up with something smaller , but we are busy at the moment

i wonder also whether this type might not work on wheels that have little to no dish on them or very thin gaps between the spokes? We used to have one similar in design to the above but instead of just cramping round the tyre and rim it actually went over one of the wheel nuts. Again though im not sure it would work on very wide wheels or wheels where the wheelnuts and deep into the wheel.

They're big, yellow and obvious, which is 90% of the deterrent.

Yes there are better designs, but even the large triangle ones with chains can be cut off.

Ultimately just having one visible is going to put off all but the most determined of thieves, kinda the same idea as the Disclock - they give up before they've even started..

Last one I had, I swapped my wheel for the spare, took it home and removed the clamp. Never heard anything since!
